Kings North

I will be 78 years old December 19 and was born in Yarmouth but grew up in Halifax and have lived in the Valley for the past 55 years currently in Berwick. I have been married for 38 years with one daughter.

Most of my work life was spent with Maritime Testing Ltd as an asphalt plant inspector and core truck driver and driving taxi with various companies including my own company called Tiger Taxi based in Kentville from 97 to 99.

I have been a member of the Green Party for a number of years now and was a member of the NDP in the 70's when I ran as the NDP candidate in Annapolis West in 1974. My switch to the Greens was because of the climate crisis which is a threat to our global survival and solving this crisis is a priority of the Green Party.

I attended Acadia University where I majored in Math with a minor in Computer Science and served on the students' council for two years. I am a member of Fair Vote Canada (fairvote.ca) and the World Constitution and Parliament Association (wcpa.world).

My wife and I both attend the Evangeline Club in Berwick Monday to Friday and I have an interest in Astrology and solving Sudoku puzzles along with my interests in politics and economics. I would like to axe the tax on the income of the poor and have it raised on the rich so governments do not have to run deficit budgets which only give more money to the rich in interest payments by borrowing from them instead of taxing them.
