Nik Boisvert (them/them) is an entrepreneur, arts worker, union organizer and parent who grew up in Terre Noire. They helped lead a union drive at the Highland Arts Theatre in Sydney, and have run twice federally in Sydney—Victoria/Sydney—Glace Bay.
Nik has deep Acadian roots, and grew up on their ancestors’ property on the western edge of the Cabot trail. They come from generations of resilient AuCoin women and were raised to value community. They are nonbinary and disabled. They married Andrew Greig last summer and have one child, Ollie.
