Krista Grear, Annapolis

Krista is an experienced problem solver, health promoter, community organizer and not-for-profit manager. She is a member of the Annapolis Community Health Board and an active supporter of local small businesses.  Krista’s interest in politics began in the early 2000’s campaigning door to door with the Green Party and grew from there.

Krista believes strongly and will fight for health and human rights, social justice for all, access to safe and affordable housing, food security, access to education, protection of ecological diversity, fair, livable and thriving wages and employment opportunities for all, and swift action to address the climate crisis.

Krista has held active roles on municipal council committees focused on environmental issues and reducing, and eliminating, homeowners’ use of commercial chemical pesticides. Through her work in health promotion and mental health promotion, she has had the opportunity to work with people from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences in safe, supportive and nonjudgmental environments, to find solutions to problems and connect people with resources.

In her free time Krista enjoys gardening, kayaking, hiking and photography.  She also enjoys spending time with her family, the cat and two dogs, and the occasional binge-watch night on Netflix.

The Green Party of Nova Scotia is excited to have Krista Grear as our candidate in the riding of Annapolis
