DESCRIPTION:October 27\, 2018  |  9 am – 5 pm  | RSVP president.f@greenpartyns.ca \nPolicy Conference\, Green Party of Nova Scotia\nUpstairs from the Stone Soup Cafe\, 41 Water St\, Pictou\, NS B0K 1H0 \nOur proposed policies are ready. Find the final text of the proposed policy on our website: https://greenpartyns.ca/policies/draft-policies-2018/proposedfinaltext/. Password has been emailed to members. The policy has been open for discussion since August. Therefore\, the meeting will be an opportunity to vote or put the particular policy on pause. There will not be extensive wordsmithing of these policies at the conference. \nYour next opportunity to propose policy will be in the lead up to the AGM next spring. We anticipate policy discussions every six months from now on. Which is to say\, if you were looking forward to a deep discussion\, there will ample opportunities to come. In fact\, the best way to get involved with policy development is to get involved locally or regionally. Feel welcome to ask us how! \nUnderlying our policy efforts is the basic understanding that new information will lead to revised positions: we will continue to seek better evidence and information on which to base our decisions. Meanwhile\, we will continue to develop our processes to ensure that our public statements reflect your will\, that is\, the will of our members. \nWe look forward to seeing you in Pictou!
