Anthony Edmonds, Waverley-Fall River-Beaver Bank

Anthony Edmonds, Green Party CandidateAnthony Edmonds is a Dalhousie alumnus and aerospace engineer with over a decade of experience as a political activist. He lives with his wife, Jillian in Wellington.

Friends and neighbours,

I’m asking for your support to bring about a real, meaningful change in Nova Scotia politics. We have an opportunity to make history by electing the first Green MLA in Nova Scotia history.

As your MLA, I will put constituents first, holding government accountable to prioritize prudent spending based on sound evidence that will deliver real results for current and future generations.

Government should stop bribing large corporations with taxpayer money to bring jobs to Nova Scotia. Instead, I believe that the province’s most important role in the economy is to provide quality infrastructure, acting as the foundation for a resilient and sustainable economy and community. The influx of remote workers into our province during the global pandemic has demonstrated what I’ve long believed: that Nova Scotia is poised to be on the crest of a new wave of information economy. The mobile workforce of tomorrow has the freedom to choose where to call home, and Nova Scotians know that nowhere else feels more like home than here.  With the right infrastructure in place, we can build a thriving and stable economy. My priorities for our community reflect this belief:
  • Complete the Wellington to Aerotech connector that is currently in early stages of construction, providing our community with better access to the airport and other amenities.
  • Invest in the facilities and infrastructure to provide reliable water, power, and internet service, providing the essential building blocks for sustainable economic growth.
  • Make provincial investments in multi-modal transit to reduce traffic congestion, as well as provide much needed mobility to seniors and students in our community.
Above all, I will push for greater transparency, openness and accountability in all government affairs. That starts with pushing to reform our inequitable electoral finance system and institute fixed election dates.

The Green Party of Nova Scotia is excited to have Anthony Edmonds as our candidate in the riding of Waverley – Fall River – Beaver Bank.
